The game idea for this is most likely dead, so this entire idea will be turned into an RP instead. All the same characters will remain, as with the overall plot, but we need people to fill in each character slot.

Post whichever character you would wish to be. If you wish to make a new character, follow the same character creation guidelines as with Dogfights.

Do you think it's preferred that we go with whoever was based on ourselves? Oh screw it, I'm copying another clean FFVI ROM, you guys had your chance, this project is going to take awhile.

Otherwise, mabye I should just overhaul an entire section of the forum explaining this project.

~ Normal T-shirt. He changes it everyday, because he actually cares about hygiene, other than some people. He tries to wear black most of the time, though.
~ Jeans. Nothing exceptional here. They go down to his ankles.
~ White sneakers. They're really comfy.

History: Efrin has led a busy, bustling, and sad life. His mom died as she gave birth to him, and his father left him in grief. Orphaned and left out in the streets, Efrin was taken in by a poor orphanage, where he was raised there until he was old enough to work. Once he reached 9 years of age, he began working immediately for 5 ellens an hour, and saved every piece of money he earned. 6 years later, he had finally procured enough money to attend school. Unfortunately, he had the bad luck to choose one of the worst Spell Schools in existence.

Other Info: Ever since he was little, Efrin had a fascination with swords. He had a wooden sword he always used to play with during his youth, and as he grew older, Efrin developed his own home-grown style of swordfighting as he trained solo.

~ White cloth shirt, it's a bit too big for her. She's trying to find a replacement, but that hasn't been going to well. As a last resort, she's been planning to ask Efrin for a shirt...
~ White silk skirt. Smooth and flowing, it only augments her natural beauty.

History: A poor girl with a sad history akin to Efrin's. She was raised among two uncaring parents that only barely kept her alive during her youth. Her dad was a drunk, and normally beat Serra and her mother. Her mother, on the other hand, squandered whatever wealth the Novelia family had, constantly invoking the outrage of her spouse. Even at a young age, Serra knew she wouldn't survive with them: so she gathered her belongings and fled. While on the streets, she found that she could use her looks to get past situations others would never have been able to pass. She finally found herself at the same orphanage Efrin took residence in. The two turned out to be great friends, and the bond between the two is nigh unbreakable. After finding out Efrin was going to attend Templar Academy, Serra quickly made amends so that she could go with him too. Without his consent, of course.

Other Info: During her time as a child with her parents, Serra was tutored how to use a bow. She was a born natural: she quickly surpassed her teacher after a few months. This didn't make her father very happy, however.

A very lazy child from discovering his affinity for electricity, everything in his room is powered by his static aura. His room is also hidden as a second supply closet in the Boy's Dorm at Templar.

Other info: Can eat a battery for extra power and chose to use his fists, because swords were, "Too impersonal"

Nicknames: Kaida, Kai, Medi, Cira...just about anything, really
Age: 15
Abilities:
God Senses:: By channeling her innate ability with magic (which is frighteningly potent) to her slightly different sensory organs (currently really only touch and sight), Kaida can sense almost any and all ailments within a living being with that sense. By touching a person, she can get a feel for afflictions, and her eyes can usually catch unseen or internal wounds. Like every Kanmoto, she can siphon off others with the same ability (or in her case, abilities), but using this ability has many downfalls. Heightened touch and sight make Kaida vulnerable to pain and sensory assaults, and using even one sense for longer than two or three minutes (due to her extremely limited experience with them. Most fully developed Kanmotos can sustain their enhanced senses for hours on end) will wear Kaida down quickly.
Temporary Aid:: Because Kaida isn't exactly good with instant healing, her idea of healing magic is "temporary aid" which is basically first aid, but with magic. She can temporarily close and ease the pain of wounds and immediate afflictions, but she can't make it go away forever. Temporary aid only lasts for a short amount of time, but it takes less strain on Kaida than actually healing people.
Ghost Scalpel:: Using her magic, Kaida can do something akin to reaching into a person and treating them without opening them up. She can't use instant healing magics because she hasn't had much training in them, but she can speed up the healing process. Putting this ability to use means putting Kaida's ability to control her magic to the test . This ability is much like surgery without opening up a patient, which lowers the risk of infection, and because it is magic, the healing is exponentially faster, usually completely healing a person in a matter of ten minutes. However, the pressure of treating a patient and the amount of magic and control it takes puts physical and mental toll on Kaida that causes her to become sluggish and overall useless for a while.

Appearance: Standing at a surprising height of about five foot seven (she's TALL, she knows it. Just let her be!), Kaida realizes that she's not exactly the dainty little girl. Pale in complexion due to her living style (mostly because she rarely goes outside) and skinny to a point of worry (due to her tendency to overwork and under-eat), it's not hard to see why Kaida is generally not seen as the prettiest girl in the world, but she can live. Due to her choice in clothing, her positive and more feminine features usually aren't shown unless someone's trying to make them show.
~~~~Hair:: Black and parted so that her bangs cover her right eye. Usually let down and kept at a fairly long length, but when she's serious she'll tie her hair back. Unfortunately, with her choice of clothing, it just makes her seem like an effeminate guy.
~~~~Eyes:: Originally a hazelnut brown, but now are pink as her powers have kicked in.
~~~~Clothing:: Interestingly enough, Kaida seems to be dressed as though she's always in chemistry. Always dressed in an over sized shirt that can be tied to hug against her body and long pants, the thing that draws the most attention to her is the lab coat she seems to wear just about everywhere.
~~~~Other:: She has a tattoo on her collarbone of a red cross which she doesn't remember getting. She also happens to cover up her forehead with either a buttload of make-up or a headband to mask the marking her family placed onto her flesh the day her abilities kicked in.
~~~~Preferred weapon:: A pair of cesti that Kaida refers to as the "Royal Guards" that are hidden beneath her sleeves. She appears not to be carrying a weapon, and often doesn't use them for any reason other than self-defense. They're different from most weapons in the fact that they're not designed to make the first hit. By blocking attacks from others, the Royal Guards store aggression which causes them to glow a bit. By punching back, some of the aggression is released in the form of wind pressure which knocks an enemy a fair distance. While it doesn't exactly harm the enemy as no physical contact is made, it buys time for Kaida to escape. There are jewels on the Royal Guards that release varying amounts of wind pressure and aggression when they are placed within the slots of the Royal Guards. Without any jewels, the Royal Guards cannot store any aggression and actually seem to become heavier, thus making them rather useless.

History: For as long as anyone could remember, the Kanmoto family has been one of medical purposes. Those that were good with magic were usually given healing magic, those that weren't were simply trained to do doctoring traits. Of course, every Kanmoto inherits some trait (and in some cases traits) that makes them desirable as a doctor and are trained from the time they can remember things to be doctors, healers, or medics of some sort. Kaida herself was given some of these blessings, but paired with her timid personality, she couldn't use them for combat, and each had a massive downfall. Her parents, both very...detached from the family and each other, displayed a minimal amount worry over Kaida's abilities and eventually, after discovering they had very little interest in teaching her how to control her magic, sent her to Templar Academy.

Of course, unlike most students, Kaida had exceptional control over her magic and was able to move it around her body to enhance her senses (like sight) without making her sensory organs explode. Supposedly, her teachers are keeping her there because she "refuses to reveal her full potential" but Kaida doesn't know that she has more magic than she's letting off.
Other:
-Unsurprisingly, coming from her family, Kaida has a surprisingly large amount of knowledge in anatomy, namely of the human type. It's been rumored that her medical (non-magical, of course) prowess surpasses the average doctor's due to the way she was raised in her family. She has yet to confirm this, but has displayed the ability to perform image training without any tools.

-Sadly, like all doctors in the Kanmoto family, her abilities come at a price. She is plagued by a disease she inherited from her mother which is known to her only as NMS. Like her mother, Kaida has very little knowledge on it as it causes such stress and strain to the body that she can only subconsciously remember anything that might happen during one of her NMS fits. During such moments, she has been observed to have extremely aggressive behavior and has vicious reactions to certain phrases and actions. NMS, while not fatal in itself, often leads to Kaida's surprisingly large array of health problems including a weak heart and a plethora of systems and organs that are susceptible to crashes at any given moment under certain circumstances. It is for this reason that Kaida prefers to detach herself from others and from her natural personality--mostly to prevent adrenaline rushes as that seems to trigger blanks in her memory (which she attributes to NMS) and leads her to end up in the ICU at some hospital or another. Given her detached side, Kaida is fully capable of making cold calculations and has even estimated what age both she and her mother will die at.

-Kaida's family is strange and made up of very odd characters outside of her immediate family. Her aunt--who happens to be her mother's identical twin sister--tends to be on the giddy side, and despite her massive skills in both the medical field and martial arts, is a veterinarian. While she's good at her job, Kaida finds that her aunt has the odd habit of talking to the animals and such conversations can turn out to be extremely odd. Her uncle (aunt's husband) happens to be Kaida's aunt's immediate superior and is an even odder character. Blessed with almost perfect insight, he tends to be a care-free fellow with little regard and passion for saving lives, but is a good person overall. But to see that you'd not only have to get past his less-than-awkward treatments, his strange (and almost sickening) sense of humor, most of his surface personality, and his tendency to honey-coat his venomous words, but you'd also have to be well aware that both he (and his father) seem to have stopped aging and have the tendency to threaten (in some cases the lives of) others that get in their way or pose potential threats.

~ usually tight-fitted band shirts. a noticeable (sp) but not overdone amount of jewlery. multiple pairs of earrings, one or two necklaces, bracelets and armlets. (usually black and studded)
~ baggy black boy jeans. easier to move around in, and "you can actually sit down in them" as tina proclaims.
~ black skater shoes.
Preferred Weapon: summoning books, or fists (armed with brass knuckles, usually). if available, something big and heavy she can wack stuff with. (suprisingly strong and can carry stuff heavier then her easily)

History: an okay life. always lived in a bad neighborhood, so a rough childhood. about half way through her life, the dad started drinking and cheating, the mom got a divorce, and they moved here...

Age: 16 (god this is what happens when you have characters based of people, this age seems to screw up so much of the following description)
Gender: Male
Abilities: Wields Nandaiyo a 2-handed sword, can also use abilities such as Darkness Nova and Mind Crush, both of which are extremely deadly. (originally, Mind Crush was a OHKO move, with only a two second cooldown, and for some screwy reason, used no MP, I'm going to have to nerf that)

Appearance: Somehow has that mysterious vibe to his look (don't give me this "ugh, this is crap" mood, ****ing live it)
Hair: Average length for a guy, light brown, slightly curly...not much to say here
Eyes: Dark Brown (like this is important)
Clothing: all black (undershirt, shirt, jacket, and even black cargo pants)
Other: It's only rumored but, it is said that when he is at his absolute strongest, one can even see a Dark Aura around him...creepy...

History: Not very much is known about this guy, apparently he's out on his own sort of quest. What that quest is unknown to all else. Did I mention that for some reason he doesn't go to school like the rest of them at the start? Although from his age, one can assume he ran away from home. His power seems to be too great to control so he uses it up hunting Shades. (if for some reason the story is being changed so much that you erase even the basic form of Shades, I'm outta here)

Role: Immediate- Fated Encounter, Overall- Mysterious Shade Hunter, Later- Possible Helper

Additional Notes: If you couldn't tell, this has been taken straight from the original RPG plans, including some additional things like the Dark Aura (I threw that in because of his original affinity to Dark type attacks in the original RPG) Don't like it? Too bad, this was the starting position and changing it now would screw up some things. Keep in mind this is the last RP I'm joining on this site (open another and I might eat popcorn on the sidelines, or ignore it like the first one, you know) I'm going to have to reduce his actions, those abilities are getting to me, I'm going to have to...nerf...him during the actual RP. Also, this is no joke character like ATC (yes, he was a joke, if you didn't get that, I have no clue where the crap you've been) so here we are, I hate to have to repeat VVO's words but, this guy isn't for the squeamish. And I'll only be introducing him for the start of the RP, he won't do much after that till later, whatever, I'll just do that post and be done with it.

Appearance: He looks pretty much like a normal Asian you would find in an Asian cafe, minus the cigarette and the milk tea (they're both banned in the school). He doesn't look thuggish at the least, is rather skinny, and doesn't look like the type to like fights. He isn't very tall, so his masculine characteristics usually aren't very evident at all.
Abilities: He has control over lightning and electricity. Or, everybody just thinks he does. The truth is, he's very bad at all other magical artes: fire, water, and earth. Lightning was the last arte he was proficient in, so he uses this power to its fullest degree.

~ Hair: Jet-black, eyebrow length
~ Eyes: Normal brown
~ Clothing:
Upper ~ Brown vest, nothing of exceptional quality. Also, he wears a black shirt that isn't very special at all. It has some strange, decorative markings on it, but other than that, it serves no purpose than to preserve his modesty.
Lower ~ Black jeans. They're tougher than the norm, but other than that they don't look different at all.
Other ~ Wears squarish glasses that are quite fashionable, really. They almost never happen to fall off his face, even if he's upside down, which nobody ever notices but is quite strange.
Preferred Weapon: Conductive Suruki (chain):
An innocuous chain-like weapon. Its entire construction is pure metal, allowing him to channel huge amounts of electricity through it. The heavy iron ball on both sides of the weapon allow for concussive blows, with powerful shocks of electricity following. The weapon allows him to further his reach, and is generally more accurate than him manually shooting lightning (which depletes his energy quickly and is less powerful than channeling).

History: Batou was born into a wealthy family with relatively no worry. His childhood was safe from disaster and hardship. His parents tried to keep him away from "hurtful sources," ever since he was a child, which really made him into a deprived, lonely little boy with no friends. As such, he grew up alone, home-schooled, never knowing what the outside world was like. His consistent dream was to break free of his parental chains and explore the endless beyond. Finally, fortune for him came in misfortune. Tragedy struck the Kaishin family's finances after their monetary stores were stripped clean by a vicious loan shark. The family could not afford to home-school him any longer, so they were forced to send him off to a Spell School, the cheapest of which was Templar Academy (which was almost free to attend). There, Batou learned firsthand the reality of the true world.

He had always been an incredible student, and he is frighteningly intelligent (except in most magic). Sadly, this intelligence came with a cost, as he is a social failure. He earned little friends even after his first year, but after enduring an entire childhood of loneliness, this mattered little. However, deep inside he yearns for a true friend.
