Full Story + Dialogue

We'll be posting the major story bits of the game here, starting from the beginning. Dialogue will also try to be posted here.

Chapter 1: The Beginning of the First Step
-background story scrolls-
Millennia ago, there was a book called "Templaria," a book that would bring wrought and ruin upon the world if it were ever to be opened by a human. The Elders, great, wise men, eventually found the book decided to seal and hide it in their archives, never to be found by mankind, ever again. Centuries later, an unsuspecting thief comes across a heavy, aged book in the ruins of an ancient library, labeled "Templaria." Glancing over the book and noticing the jewels encrusted into the cover, he decides to open it. All hell breaks loose. The portal to Dusk, the fabled world of the Shades, is ripped open and dark figures begin to inundate the world. As quickly as it happened, the portal closes itself. The Shades are too powerful for humankind, and the world's governments and military are easily overpowered and destroyed. However, the appearance of the Shades has awakened a power in humans previously untapped: the ability to use magic. Using this new-found power, several heroes of mankind destroy the Shades and banish them back to the void of Dusk. Several years later, this magical power is still active in humans, and there are words of the ancient portal being re-opened once again...

-cut to boy walking down a road-

-boy is holding a backpack and is breathing heavily-

MC: -in mind- Oh, god, I don't know how much more of this I can take... -breathes heavily- How long have I been walking...? Phew...

-pan to view of big buildings-

MC: -in mind- Is that the school?

-boy passes by huge gate-

-boy keeps walking for some while, until he realizes-

MC: Waagh! That is the school!

-boy runs into the courtyard and through the doors-

-long pause while MC regains his breath-

MC: Well, I'd better fill out the form Mom gave me...

-takes out sheet of paper-

-MC and girl fall onto the ground-

THUMP

-papers fly everywhere from MC's backpack-

MC: -groans- Woah, hey, are you alright?

-papers settle down-

Serra: -coughs-

MC: -in mind- Wait, I recognize that voice...

MC: -reality- SERRA?

Serra: Y-y-yes?

-zoom in on Serra's face-

MC: Oh my god, I'm so sorry!

-MC picks Serra up-

MC: I didn't know you'd be here!

Serra: -coughs- I didn't either... It's so nice to see you again, .

MC: You too.

MC: -in mind- Wow, she's pretty...

-MC looks at watch-

-! appears over MC's head-

MC: I've got to go to class, meet you later!

-MC turns around and slams into something-

MC: AGH!!!

-MC falls-

-Flappy-looking book hovers above MC-

Instruction Booklet: Another new one?

-book sighs-

Instruction Booklet: And I thought I'd finished all of them. Get over here.

-enter first battle-

CRAM!!! You should be helping do this too!

Chapter 1 (continued): The Beginning of a First Step

-flash fade to MC delivering the finishing blow to the book-

MC: God, I don't have time for you! Stupid book!

-MC runs down the hall-

-cut to MC opening a door outside a classroom, bell rings as he dashes into a seat, breathing heavily-

MC: Phew...

-teacher walks in-

Teacher: All right! settle down ya cretins! I'm your homeroom teacher Lambeu! I will also be your student advisor for the year, any questions, feel free to ask me! I also see that we have a new student this year! Because of the rest of and you and your abilities, I'm giving him the school emblem to protect him! <name>, get up here and intorduce yourself!

MC: Uh..Hi! I'm <name> And I'll be attending this school from now on! I hope you'll all treat me as you treat each other!

MC sits back down.

Serra: You shouldn't have said that...

MC: Why?

Serra: Some of these kids are ANIMALS...

MC: Uhh.... in what sense?

-MC looks quizzically-

Serra: SSHH!!!

Teacher: Just because you're a new student doesn't exempt you from talking! Sit down NOW!

-Lambeu points at MC threateningly-

-MC quickly and sheepishly gets into a nearby desk-

Teacher: Alright, now. Now that all disturbances have been removed, we may begin. Please take out your history textbooks.

-loud shuffling as entire class moves to take out books-

Teacher: -raises eyebrow- Our first lesson begins....

-fade out-

-fade in-

Teacher: ...and that concludes today's lecture. I will see you all tomorrow.

-MC and the rest of the class get out of their desks-

MC: H-Hey Serra?

Serra: Yes?

MC: So why is this place so far out of the way?

Serra: Oh! You didn't know? This is a boarding school! Your dorm is in the north end of the school!

MC: And where is yours?

Serra: Having naughty thoughts already?

-Serra grins-

MC: I...Er..What I-

Serra: Hehehe! I'm just playing with you! The girl's dorm is on the east end of the campus. Sorry, but no boys during the evening hours!

A boy wearing headphones runs towards the two.

Boy: Hey! Are you <name>? 'Cause I'm the class appointed help! I have your dorm room and locker numbers here! This bag contains everything you need here.

Acquired:

Templar Coat: A thick coat to keep you warm during the cold days at the school. Also tells other students that you are a freshman.
ID Card: This allows access to most of the school and displays personal information as well as Dorm number and class
School Map: This map will display a location's information as well as your current position
Student Key: You can use this key to access your locker and the dorm room.
Backpack: A small but durable pack to store all of your things.


MC: Um thanks....?
Boy: Oh! My name is Loki! Well, that's what everyone calls me.... (Guess what! Its Brandon!)

MC: Whats your real name?

Loki: It doesn't matter! I actually like my nick name! Plus, I use a hammer!

MC: Excuse me?

Serra: The teachers don't know it, but ther is a thing with students and stating their weapon types! Like mine is a bow, but I'm really good with magic.

MC: Mine must be....Uh...

Serra: What weapon did you pick up?

MC: Oh I got a <weapon>

Serra: So that's your weapon!

Loki: EH, It's okay.

Serra: Aw crap! Look at the time! Its already evening! Looks like I gotta go back to the dorms! Later boys!

MC: Bye Serra~

Loki: Well, come on! We gotta get you settled in!

MC: Yeah sure...

-Loki walks with MC towards a giant building off campus-

-Loki pushes open the doors-

Loki: These here are the dorms! Impressive, huh?

MC: Uh, yeah, sure.

-the entire place looks torn and shabby-

-Loki walks with MC up some stairs and to a door-

Loki: This here is your room. And here's your dorm key. Don't lose it!

-Loki tosses MC a key and walks away-

Loki: Goodnight! It's getting late.

MC: ....

-MC opens the door with the key, enters the room-

MC: They sure take care of this place...

-Unlike the outside, the room is clean and shiny-

-MC grabs his backpack and tosses it to the side and goes onto the bed-

-MC quickly falls asleep-

-fade out-

-fade in to a sunrise-

-MC wakes up-

MC: Wow... what a weird dream...

-flashback cut to a horrific scene of someone getting assimilated into darkness-

MC: Well, I guess it was nothing. I'd better go meet up with Loki and Serra.

-MC exits the dorm-

-two Thugs are teasing Serra-

Thug 1: Hey, sexy, why don't you come with us?

Thug 2: Yeah, we're not that ugly.

Serra: Ugh, just get away from me!

Thug 2: Oh, we're not done yet!

-Thug 2 brandishes a knife and Thug 1 grabs Serra-

Serra: HELP! Anyone!

MC: You two get away from her!

-MC takes out his weapon-

Thug 1: Haha, it seems she's already taken.

Thug 2: Doesn't matter, when we kill him she'll be ours!

-enter first real battle-
