Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits Sanctuaryg

The new RP of Isiya featuring all-new characters.

RULES:

No characters from Journey to the Cave of Neverending Void may be controlled.
All characters must be original.
Previous characters may be mentioned, but may not directly influence any events.

STORY: For centuries, the town of Lactum has prospered and thrived. Its citizens enjoyed the fruits of labor directly, nobody ever starved or died of illness: it certainly was a utopia of sorts. Now everything has changed after the invasion of the Caylia Legion, a ruthless empire of barbarians. Lactum has been raided and sacked, its residents slaughtered. Only one person was known to survive the bloodshed: Riwethuu Novelia. Traumatized ever since the incident, he has finally come of age: now he searches for the one thing that can resurrect his family from the clutches of death: The Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirit.

MAIN CHARACTER:
Name: Riwethuu Novelia
Nickname: Riwu
Height: 5' 6''
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Occupation: None, so far
Appearance:
Hair: Disheveled, white hair that reaches eyebrow length.
Eyes: White
Clothes: Simple, black cloth shirt and brown slacks. Doesn't carry much else.

History: His family and town was slaughtered by the Caylia Legion. He barely escaped with his life. He doesn't carry very many skills with him...
Other Info: Lonely, and shuns contact. He generally avoids others, and shields himself with a veil of cynicism. It is very hard to gain his trust.
Quote: "I'll never forget."

Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits Empty
PostSubject: Re: Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits   Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits EmptyMon Mar 16, 2009 10:04 pm

"Your Majesty!" The soldier bowed. The thick metal plates covering the man clanked as he moved. Directly in front of him, was a man, clad in the most magnificent clothing one could find in Isiya. A huge cape, one as black as the night, trailed behind the man, probably about 20 feet or so. Intimidating protrusions of teeth and bone lined the man's shoulder, and the staff the man was holding looked no less threatening as his own stature.

"And what does the underling wish to inform me of?" the man spoke, haughtiness lacing his words.

"One child has escaped from our assault. We believe him only to be no more than a callow youth." The soldier laid down his head, waiting for a response. The king thought for an instant, before answering.

"Hunt him down. There shall be no survivors."

"Yes, your Majesty." The solider put his hand to his sword and unsheathed it, letting the wicked blade gleam in the sunlight, before walking off to the rest of his men. Soon after, the earth began to tremble as legions of Caylia began their march.

***

Ragged breaths filled the air. A tiny child ran alone across the plains, fearing for his life. His legs ached and shouted for respite, but he commanded them to keep moving. Behind him, he could hear the shouts and commands of men coming closer. Riwethuu Novelia, son of Krissa and Yurreh Novelia, was the only survivor of his town's raid. And he was only 6 years old. More than a thousand men were on the chase, with the intent of spilling his blood. The odds were greatly stacked against Riwethuu. But the will to survive is as immeasurable as the size of the universe. Whenever everything is lost, hope always prevails.

Riwethuu continued running across the field. The cool, green grass both tickled and comforted his feet, but he didn't have time to stop. The men were so close he could hear the clanking of their armor. Sweat poured down the child's forehead, as Riwethuu willed his legs to keep moving. The trees of a dense forest appeared over the horizon. If he could get in that forest, then he might have a chance to hide.

"BY ORDER OF THE CAYLIA REGION, CEASE!" one of them roared. The man raised his sword and took a vicious swing at the boy. Just at that moment, Riwethuu leaned forward, making the attack a glancing blow. The blade still cut into his skin, causing pain to shoot through his body. Riwethuu let out a loud scream of pain. The pain reminded him of his parents, dead and bleeding on the dirt. He could still see their dead, motionless faces. Tears streamed down his face, but Riwethuu forced himself to move even faster. Just then, he noticed the forest right in front of him. Riwethuu, with the last of his strength, hurled his body into the dense underbrush. Some twigs and leaves flew into the air from the impact, but apparently, the men didn't notice. Riwethuu heard clanking and footsteps, but nothing uncovered him.

"Did you see where he went?" One voice inquired. This one seemed gruff and impatient.

"No, he probably went farther into the woods," Another voice answered. Then, Riwethuu heard the rumbling of a thousand footsteps, and then all was quiet.

Minutes passed. Then hours. Finally, the child was convinced that the evil men were no longer looking for him. He climbed his way out of the underbrush, thirst and hunger clawing at his throat. Weakness dominated his body, and pain seared through his muscles when he moved them. And he still did not know why these men were chasing him. All his youthful, naive mind could understand, is that he did not want to die. Riwethuu winced as the gash in his back began to act up, then the world went black.

MANY YEARS LATER

Riwethuu grabbed the cloth and dipped it in a pail of water. The manager of the bar eyed him closely, waiting for him to make a mistake. The bar was a dreadful place, dimly lit and a foul smell emanated from practically every corner. Grime and filth covered every surface of the room.

"Y'know, Riwu, you're a good-for-nothing boy." his "father," Lumo, spat, saliva glistening on the table. "Picking you up all alone in that forest was a big fault on my part." Riwethuu ignored him the best he could. Which was pretty well, considering he had lived with the man for 8 years. Ever since then, Lumo had mistreated and beaten him, but fed him enough just to keep him alive. Lumo couldn't allow Riwethuu to die: the cost would be far too much. In exchange, however, he had to endure 8 years of abuse and neglect.

Riwethuu took the cloth out the pail and began rubbing the counter in a clockwise motion, trying to scrub out the tobacco marks and grime as best he could. He continued this until his arm became tired and sore. As he stopped for a second of respite, his "dad" took that opportunity to chastise him.

"See there, my boy? You haven't even gotten the whole table done, and you're asking for a BREAK? What kind of SON are you?" Lumo screamed, little flecks of spit dotting Riwethuu's face. Suddenly, he brought a hand back and delivered a quick backhand to Riwethuu's face. He recoiled in pain, but no sound came from his mouth. He was used to this.

"I'm sorry, father. I'll try harder next time." Riwethuu mumbled. It was the usual thing to say to him.

"Good. And no supper for you tonight." Lumo spat, walking out the door and slamming it shut. Riwethuu sighed, taking a seat in the chair next to the counter. What a impossible predicament he was in. He couldn't go on doing this forever. Something inside of him just told him, that he was destined for much, much more.

OOC: That's Riwethuu's introduction. Now we need more characters. >.>

OOC: Kay this is his profile!

Name: Itou Ichida
Nickname: Itou
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Occupation: Royal Guard (Warrior Monk)
Appearance:
Hair: Disheveled, silver hair that reaches slightly past eyebrow length.
Eyes: Yellow
Clothes: Red shirt with the Royal Insignia in Blue with a black undershirt.
Note: His arms are covered with the gauntlets called Eagle Talons. They cause bleeding, but cannot kill. (A sacred relic also known as the void fist because of the lack of killing potential). He also carries sutras which are reusable unlike the pendants Mako carries.

__________________________________________________________________________
IC:

"Finally completed the training exercises and I get shot into this god forsaken forest..."

Itou sat down against a tree and removed his bag.
It had been weeks since he had been able to stay in a suitable hotel because of his older brother's lust for money.

"Stupid Mako...Had to take my wallet right before I left." He sighed heavily and thought to himself what he learned in his survival class.

Itou tried his best to remeber what his teacher said.

The large man with dark black hair stood up before the class. "So, since most of you can't use magic, you'll have to make fire and shelter the way you do this is...."

Itou strained with the last part of the lecture.

"Damn....Prolly shouldn't have been talking with Kikuri that day...."

There was an immense rustling in the bushes before him. He readied himself for whatever was approaching him.

"I hope it isn't big..." Itou whispered to himself.

Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits Empty
PostSubject: Re: Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits   Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits EmptyTue Mar 17, 2009 12:59 am

Name: Elennire Jean D’arcine
Nickname: Elle or Ellie
Age: Recently turned eighteen [18]
Gender: Female, thank you
Occupation: In her normal dimension, Elennire is a Skallan Glory.
Appearance: Elennire has your average “pretty girl” build, tall and skinny. She doesn’t look particularly strong, but her looks deceive her appearance. Her complexion is fairly pale, but that’s nothing important.
~ Hair: Orange-red and when let down, the tips reach up to her hips. She generally lets it half up and half down.
~ Eyes: Bright green, though with tints of blue
~ Clothes/Armor: Being what she is, Elennire wears an easy-to-remove robe that she can simply pull off by removing the crescent pin from its place. Beneath her blue and gray robes, Elennire wears a tube-top and a pair of skin-tight shorts and Grecian sandles.
~ Others: She wears a golden “comb” in her hair in a strange ponytail, but the comb is actually been extremely sharp and fine row of spikes that can cut into flesh easily. She also wears a silver crescent pin on her robes to keep them together, and she also has metal bands on her wrists and ankles and two crossing over her stomach.

History: Elennire was sent into an orphanage at a young age, which isn’t much too much of a surprise. She was born an “angellite” or rather, one of the holiest beings that could exist in the Skallan religion. She was one that shouldn’t have existed in the orphanage, considering where it was, but the girl grew extremely fond of the place. Unfortunately, after a series of events revolving around a certain priest, she was pulled into the Skallan religion and she was given her bands, which gave her the power that belonged to her species. The main downside to her power is that her soul will know no rest, and upon her death, her soul will be absorbed into “Jean le D’arcine”, the angel of war, and she will bring the angel back to life to serve alongside Sakella, the goddess of the Skallan religion.
Other Info: Elennire’s powers are extremely undeveloped as they will only appear if she has done an extremely noble deed, and they disappear every time she commits small sins. She is not allowed to lie, but she is capable of omitting parts of the truth. Elennire also happens to be extremely fond of her priest, but some experiences have lead her to start to resent his words and actions.
Quote: “For the last time, I am not Venalise! Stop pretending that I can be!”

Name: Raeroke
Nickname: Rae, Roke, Rokey
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Occupation: Skallan priest
Appearance: He’s tall and well built and muscled, standing at a whopping six-foot two. He, unlike his partner, is a bit tan, and he’s a little bit thicker and better built for battle than Elennire.
~ Hair: Dark blue, medium length. Usually tied back into a low ponytail.
~ Eyes: Gold
~ Clothes/Armor: Raeroke wears what’s generally seen as “suspicious”. Generally seen in a black trench coat that reaches almost down to his shins. Generally, he also wears a white dress shirt and a pair of long, black slacks. As far as his shoes go, they’re usually sturdy boots.
~ Others: This priest generally wears a choker with a silver crescent that faces the wrong way for the Skallan religion and almost always wears a pair of dark sunglasses. His hair is also kept back by a metal cuff with a reversed crescent.

History: Raeroke remembers very little about his past, having been brainwashed by someone from his own religion to protect the priestesses he was given. Once a terrible monster that was obsessive over battling, Raeroke is now an almost gentle person that finds more pleasure in being the “pious boy” than in killing anyone and everyone that comes around.
Other Info: The crescent accessories on Raeroke’s person are actually seals that suppress his true form into a human shape. The choker also expands into a large crescent blade weapon that can be thrown around or used as a melee weapon. Without both, Raeroke forms into a “Selkis” with the intelligence of a human. Though generally known to devour angellites when they are children, Raeroke seems to have forgotten anything about it. It looks much like a cat-man hybrid with large, unknown claws. He once loved his previous priestess and sometimes calls Elennire by the wrong name, which irritates her the to no end.
Quote: “You know what Sakella’s teachings say! You must....”

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Elennire was, at the moment, walking beside her priest, uncertain of where they were. They’d awoken about a week ago into an unknown place. They didn’t know where they were, but Elennire did realize that she was uncomfortable in this new place, and Raeroke looked completely frazzled by the situation that he was given. The girl understood why the priest felt unhappy in the world. The blue-haired man was one of the few able to feel the presence of the goddess that the two were supposed to worship, him and Elennire both, but here, the presence was nowhere to be felt. It was a little eerie.

”Well, according to the last place we were, there should be a place to stay in nearby,” the girl claimed while stretching her arms out. She yawned a little and then rubbed the drowsiness away from her own being. Green-blue eyes searched the landscape, but there was nothing around. Elennire sighed and then pulled the robes slightly away from herself to let some air close to herself. ”I really wish I didn’t have to wear this. It’s so uncomfortable.”

”Then just go fly to the next town,” Raeroke replied bluntly while wiping some sweat from his brow with the back of his tanned hand. Elennire shook her head furiously in defiance and the man could only raise an eyebrow at the girl’s response. ”Why not? It’s faster, and then you’ll get to ditch your robes onto me. Isn’t that better for you?” he questioned with his usual priest-like care. The Skallan Glory beside him wanted to roll her eyes in sarcasm. Typical behavior from her lovely little priest. Sometimes it grated hard against her nerves.

”Why would I want to fly there by myself? I can’t trust you not to get lost,” the young priestess claimed while loosening the robe a bit to give herself a little more breathing space. She was certainly not in the best of conditions. Though she was used to the heat, Elennire had never gotten accustomed to having to wear so damn much. Usually, she was wearing a loose, tie-on skirt and a hoochie-top or whatever they called them. The only times she ever wore anything more was when someone came with the idea of adopting someone in mind. Raeroke had been the one that took her away from the orphanage, and though she desperately loved the orphanage, the girl was glad to have left. The girl then brushed some hair away from her face. ”Damn it…stupid hair,” she muttered under her breath. Ever since her hair had gotten chopped into strange bangs, it kept getting into her eyes.

It really irked her.

The youth then found herself snapping back into reality and then the girl gasped in surprise. Suddenly, they were nearing a place that looked like it could allow someone to live. Green-blue eyes blinked in question and then Elennire gave a grin and then she glanced over towards the priest beside her. The priest then placed his hand onto her shoulder and glanced around cautiously. Elennire raised an eyebrow and then took a look around again before sighing in defeat. Oh so slightly. The two had only been traveling to Skallan villages and civilizations before their arrival in the unknown world, and in Skallan villages, doors were either prohibited to be closed or, in the most pious boys, they were completely nonexistent, curtains taking their place.

Raeroke had come from one of the aforementioned villages. Elennire had never actually been one to pour her heart into religion, but now…she had to admit, the Skallan religion was certainly not something she could brush off as false. After all, she was possessed by one of the holy figures that featured in the religion, or at least, she was going to be. The girl glanced around and then felt her heart throb at something. A familiar feeling. It was the feeling of evil, and it always hurt. Sometimes it was too much. The Glory motioned towards her priest and the man raised his eyebrow at her before moving to his charge.

”Yes?” he asked with a raised eyebrow. Elennire pointed towards one of the several buildings, her persona chillier and a little more serious than usual. Raeroke sent his gaze to it too and then pushed his shades up his face a little, completely covering his unnatural eye-color. ”I see, you feel something from there…let’s head on in then. Act normal for once though.”

Elennire nodded and then walked with all the confidence she could muster into the bar, and then she wanted to hurl at the feeling that pummeled her. Evil intent was disgusting, it hurt an impossibly large amount whenever it was nearby, and Elennire hated it. Raeroke followed close after Elennire and the girl glanced around. There weren’t many people there, which made her search easier. Her eyes fell onto a young boy at the counter and her sharp eyes picked up the slightest signs of abuse. The Glory then called out to him, fully aware that she probably seemed strange. ”You, boy, what happened to you?”

Raeroke raised an eyebrow at Elennire and then crossed his arms a bit and then glanced at yet another door that seemed to irk him to no end. Elennire took note of this and then sighed at the priest’s incorrigible activity. She gave the boy an apologetic look and then nodded to her priest and then smiled at him. ”Yeah, yeah, go break it down. Just make sure you can fix it when we’re leaving…” Her attention went over to the boy at the counter again for a brief moment while Raeroke tromped over to the door and then raised one strong leg and the kicked the door down with a rather violent force. Elennire flinched and the rolled her eyes. ”That much force isn’t necessary…”

”Sorry Elle…” he claimed while carefully lifting the door from its place on the floor. Elennire sighed and then settled herself onto a chair near the counter while keeping her eyes on the boy. He wasn’t the source of evil, not quite…he was connected to it, but they were not one and the same. The Glory couldn’t quite figure out where the feeling of evil was coming from at that moment when it seemed to be pounding all around her. It wasn’t evil in its purest form, but it was enough to make Elennire want to throw up. But…it was her duty as an angellite and a Skallan Glory to purge any and all evil she felt. The priestess sighed and then waited for the answer she needed from the boy at the counter. It really sucked to be a priestess at her age…really, really sucked.

Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits Empty
PostSubject: Re: Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits   Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits EmptyTue Mar 17, 2009 1:43 am

Riwethuu was busy thinking when he noticed two figures waltz into the room. One of them was a girl, fascinatingly beautiful at that. Her bright, orange hair seemed to fill the murky bar with its dazzling brilliance, and her sharp, green eyes were the color of shiny emeralds. Riwethuu found that he couldn't take his eyes off her. He didn't have much experience in dealing with other people, especially the other gender. There weren't many girls in the village, and he was too shy to really talk to any of them. The other visitor was a man, who seemed to roughly be around his early 20s. His hair was as blue as the ocean itself, and his body was well-toned and muscled. The two seemed to be the most perfect people Riwethuu had ever seen.

Suddenly, the girl spoke to him.

"You, boy, what happened to you?" the girl asked. Riwethuu hadn't realized how close she was to him. He wasn't used to conversations this close before, especially with a girl.

"Uh-um, er, eh..." He mumbled, before there was a loud bang. Riwethuu cringed from the noise. He looked behind the girl and saw the bar door on the floor, then quickly started to panic. Lumo would be furious at him. Some sweat dribbled down his forehead, and his heart began to beat rapidly.

"That much force isn't neccessary," the girl mentioned, gesturing towards the man.

"Sorry, Ellie..." the man replied, as he grabbed the door and started to put it back on its hinges. Riwethuu dashed out of his seat and took the massive block of wood from the stranger's hands, and firmly placed it back onto the hinges. It wouldn't hold forever, but it would have to do for now.

"Uhhh... I'm sorry.... Umm... Would you like a drink, sir?" Riwethuu asked, his voice trembling. He ducked his head low, avoiding the man's eye contact. He was afraid that the man might beat him, or do worse...

Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits Empty
PostSubject: Re: Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits   Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits EmptyTue Mar 17, 2009 2:07 am

The rustling got louder and louder, and the thing was coming closer and closer...

"SHOW YOURSELF!"

The trees began to crack and bend in his direction

"aw crap..."

Itou prepared himself to try and fight the beast.

An extremely large boar charged at full speed towards him with horns at full display.

When the boar finally hit, it sent Itou in a daze and flying above the forest thinking, "I hope I land on something soft!"

His trajectory finally started to decline and he skidded a few trees.

He cooly expected to skid across the ground and only be blessed with a few nicks and scrapes.

Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits Empty
PostSubject: Re: Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits   Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits EmptyTue Mar 17, 2009 3:14 am

OOC: old character format, made this awhile ago but wasn't put into an RP, yet, kinda

Name: ??? (actually in a completely diffrent incomprehendable language, think Geno's roots for that sake, we're just going to use Like a Star @ heaven )
Nickname: A.T.C.
Age: ???
Gender: M
Occupation: Unemployed, actually wanted in a different dimension
Appearance: That of a teenage boy (let me make this clear, he does NOT look like me)
~ Hair: light brown, average length
~ Eyes: Magenta, normally 3/4 to half closed
~ Clothes/Armor: Generic Red shirt (which is amazingly more durable than it looks) and grey pants (with unseen bandages and some leg protection underneath)
~ Others: He wears a necklace with a worthless jewel on it. It was given to him by his loved one before she died, he thinks of her to this day...*stops to allow fleshing later*

History: He has a long history, and has somehow arrived at a completely different dimension. He will not tell how he obtained his weapon or where he originally came from. His single utmost fear is finding the parallel version of himself in this dimension. His main intentions are unknown...only one thing about his goals remains clear. He will allow nothing to get in his way on his journey (on the other hand...if they step out of the way, he won't really care...at all...and you can pretty much just pass by him as you please)
Other Info: He carries the forbidden sword of a different dimension, it has the power to shift into whatever shape (given it retains the same mass) he pleases it to transform to...assuming he has enough blood sacrifice to do so, when in a pinch, he'll use his own. Actual power depends on his own strength
Quote: "I'm just passing through"

One final thing: he's pretty lazy, and won't be joining any group anytime soon
(yes I copied and pasted this from the other character sign up sheet)
------------------------------------------

IC:

Quite a ways away....

Like a Star @ heaven :ugh...where the crud am I...? First I was going through some forest in the past and now I'm somehow here...geez my life is screwed up....One day I'm pegged as a murder to some family I don't even know, then I find myself thrown into the past for some crazy forsaken adventure filled with weird fish people falling in love, and now I'm the middle of some freaking....village?
------------------------------------------
OOC: I can tell you guys what he's refering to later since I doubt it will come up ever again
------------------------------------------
IC:

Passerby (unimportant nameless Character): Uhhhh...I don't think I've ever seen you before, who are you?
Like a Star @ heaven : oh, just call me A.T.C
Passerby: what's that stand for?
Like a Star @ heaven : that's for me to know and you to never find out, now get out of here you nameless character
Passerby: HEY! That's passerby to you! At least I don't have a weird screwy past and uhh...initials for my name
Like a Star @ heaven : I'll have to admit, my past is pretty...wait, how do you even know about that? YOU MUST DIE...wait, to early to make a kill, and in this setup...naw
Passerby: ...I'm just going to leave now *slowly backs away* *darts off quickly*
Like a Star @ heaven : good for you, now to scout out the situation...

Like a Star @ heaven (or ATC) left to found out where the HECK he was....

OOC: WOW that was screwy, as for what this place is...RP creator can decide that, any place with any remote civilization will do, THEN this guy can get started

And, is it ok for me to be breaking 'walls' so to speak, left and right here? (such as ATC mentioning the passerby as a nameless character) whatever, if you feel something is completely wrong with this RP post, just tell me

OOC: KUDO! This is NOT how you do an RP. Describe the situation more as a scene from a book, rather than a script. Please re-write.

Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits Empty
PostSubject: Re: Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits   Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits EmptyTue Mar 17, 2009 6:06 am

Green-blue eyes shot themselves at the dark-clothed man with deep blue hair currently examining the door to check if there were going to be other parts needed for them. She raised an eyebrow at the boy's immediate behavior and questioned his shaking voice. She propped herself up on her elbows, lacing her fingers underneath her chin and staring at the two. Raeroke let a few moment pass in silence, and then turned back to the boy. Elennire shot the man a warning look, and he subtly took note of the exchange of glance. He moved past the boy and then took a seat beside Elennire at the counter before answering the boy. "No, a drink won't be necessary. Perhaps you could provide us some information though..."

Elennire was never good at talking to people. Growing up in an orphanage run by a demon who longed for a child had done that to her. She glanced towards her companion as another wave of "evil" made her stomach queasy. She leaned against the man's shoulder and started playing about with the man's stray hairs. Raeroke ignored this and instead kept his gaze onto the boy. Elennire shut her eyes a little and then opened them again, staring at the poor boy that had been in the dingy bar. Well, it was better than some of the places she'd been. The young priestess smiled and then spoke with the most soothing tones she could. "There's no need to sound so frightened, boy. Raeroke is gentler than he looks...which isn't saying much." She nuzzled her cheek into Raeroke's shoulder and gave a little soft smile at the comfort of it. Raeroke shot his golden eyes to the young Glory he was meant to guard.

"Someone's making themselves comfortable," he claimed while gently rubbing Elennire's shoulder. He sent his gaze towards the younger girl and then gave a little chuckle. "You haven't been sleeping very much, have you?" he questioned. Elennire shook her head slightly and Raeroke gave a little squeeze to her shoulder and then allowed her to rest her head onto his shoulder. The man then turned to the boy that offered him a drink and then with a slightly serious expression on his face. He removed his glasses and then settled his gaze onto the smaller boy. "Perhaps you can tell us exactly where we are. My charge and I have gotten ourselves lost, and we are far from finding our way back to Invaldia.*"

"You said we were going to the temple first..." Elennire pouted before giving a slight yawn. "You were the one that said you wanted me to be reincarnated in the future..." Elennire shuddered at the thought of being forcefully absorbed into the soul of a war-crazed angel that had some sort of girly crush on her leader. The youth gave her companion the "puppy eyes" for a moment, but realized that he probably wasn't going to pay her any mind for a while. Instead, the priestess turned her attention to trying to recollect her thoughts on what they had seen and heard as of yet. There were odd stares, people muttering things under their breath. One of the constantly repeated phrases that had crossed into her hearing. "Hey...maybe you can tell us about the oh...what's it called...? Spiritual magic...no...sanctorium...? No...it's...um...the Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirit? Whatever it was called..."

Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits Empty
PostSubject: Re: Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits   Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits EmptyTue Mar 17, 2009 8:01 am

OOC:

Name: Llyud
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Occupation: Sniper (meaning a long-range bowman)
Appearance: Average height, Strong
~Eyes: bright gold
~Hair: Messy Brown
~Clothes/Armor: Tunic and a large quiver. On the tunic he wears a belt with supplies to make a fire and also a small knife. A large, Yew longbow with a very, very strong draw.
Other: Carries a sword for close combat when needed. Has supplies to make own arrows if needed. Very forgetful. His forgetfullness gets him into trouble a lot. He cannot use magic at all. His body rejects magic. Healing magic doesn't help him and offensive magic is not very strong against him. To compensate, his senses, healing, immune, strength, etc. are all greatly enhanced. Great marksmanship. If he fails to actually hit you in a lethal place, he most likely didn't aim for it. Has extremely good eyesight. If you are trying to see something very far away, chances are he can see it, and more. His bow is actually a family heirloom passed down from the very first generation. It is only passed on to those with more body than soul benefit. It has great powers which Llyud has been unable to tap in to.

History: Part of a clan known as Sisic that does quests for profit. Was recently kicked out for forgetting to tell the group leader that a quest was cancelled by the poster. They traveled 100 miles only to find a man who didn't need a quest done and wasn't going to pay a large sum of money for it. Now wanders about trying to get work. Cousin of Kaoru and Adelle. CANNOT MANACRAFT. Has no benefit of the soul, but has maximum benefit of the body. For info on the "soul/body benefits" see family blood line: history.
Quote: "Wake me up when we actually do something."

IC:
Llyud was sitting in a bar trying to ask around for any jobs he could do for money. He had just been kicked out of his clan and needed work to do. He was sitting in a corner when two people came inside with a look of purpose on thier faces. One was a girl with radiant orange hair and eyes that were blue with hints of green. She seemed to have a sickly look on her face but then it passed only to return seconds later. The other had blue hair and seemed to be accompanying her.

"Hmm. They look they're up to something," he thought to himself. "Maybe I can get some work, or food, for them."

He stayed in his seat watching them as they talked to the barhand and waited for the right time to jump in and ask if he could get some work from them. Maybe his cousins Kaoru and Adelle could help him if he couldn't find work here.

"Oh, um..." Riwethuu stuttered. Did they mean that the two had never been here before? Well he couldn't blame them. Curro was a rather neglected, unknown town in the badlands. "C-C-Curro," he managed, lip trembling a little bit. "That's where we are." Riwethuu took a few steps away from the two. They were certainly foreign, from their clothes, and to their actions.

"P-please, take a seat," Riwethuu mentioned, pushing a chair towards the girl, Elennire. It would be bad courtesy to not let guests have a chance to rest. Riwethuu was just about to retreat away from the couple when a loud bang filled the bar. His eyes darted toward the entrance, and there stood the owner of the bar and his stepfather, Lumo, seething in the bar's doorway.

"Ah, there y'are, Riwu." Lumo snarled, stomping towards him. "Still not finished with your work, I suppose? How many more lessons do I have to TEACH you, BOY?" Within seconds the the burly, muscled man closed the distance and picked up Riwethuu by the torn collar of his shirt, which was in noticeably bad, worn condition. Using his strong arm, Lumo lifted Riwethuu's tiny frame straight off the floor.

"I'll have no weak kid as a SON, Riwu!" Lumo spat, bringing back a hand for a blow. Riwethuu closed his eyes, made no effort to struggle, and waited for the pain. Sure, it would hurt, but his "father" always loved to do this, even in front of customers. Resisting would only make it worse.

There was a skid, a bounce and the distinct sound of someone crashing straight into a room.

Itou felt a distinct smack against a wooden wall and a fall.

OOC: Kay..SINCE NO ONE'S PAYING ATTENTION TO ME, I redirected Itou's flight pattern to smack right into a damn house...so if u avoid me AGAIN, I will NERD RACE ON Y'ALL (.sickling. and VVO) BTW

OOC: This is the edited version of my post

IC:
Quite a ways away...Like a Star @ heaven said to himself "ugh...where the crud am I...? First I was going through some forest in the past and now I'm somehow here...geez my life is screwed up....One day I'm pegged as a murder to some family I don't even know, then I find myself thrown into the past for some crazy forsaken adventure filled with weird fish people falling in love, and now I'm the middle of some freaking....village?" Soon after, a passerby (unimportant nameless Character) chanced upon Like a Star @ heaven and said to him,
"Uhhhh...I don't think I've ever seen you before, who are you?"
Like a Star @ heaven responded "oh, just call me A.T.C."
"what's that stand for?"
"that's for me to know and you to never find out, now get out of here you nameless character"
"HEY! That's passerby to you! At least I don't have a weird screwy past and uhh...initials for my name"
"I'll have to admit, my past is pretty...wait, how do you even know about that? YOU MUST DIE...wait, to early to make a kill, and in this setup...naw."

The passerby started to back away, and said " ...I'm just going to leave now..." and then he ran away. Like a Star @ heaven thought to himself (good for you, now to scout out the situation...) and then left to found out where the HECK he was....

OOC: story format DOES actually go down a line in understood subject conversations (it's a Passerby and ATC, what's NOT to be understood?) so don't bitch about it, read a novel and see for yourself (although I don't emulate that format perfectly, you're dealing with this or you lose a forum member)

"Hm? Where is everybody?" Itou muttered to himself as he slowly scanned the dusty room. There was a decrepit bookshelf, a broken lamp, and a rotting table. "Where am I?" He wiped the dust off the old, cracked window and peered through the glass. There was a road thinly covered with kudzu leading to a town several miles up. "Huh...Guess the cabin's abandoned..." He took another look around. He saw a jar of preserves in the broken cabinets and a dull-blue book with a locket on it. He picked up the book and carefully pried open the locket. It held the picture of a man and a woman, in some sort of fine robes and on the opposite side, a strange insignia was etched into the gold. Itou had no idea who these people wer, but for some reason, when he held the dull book and locket, he felt a familiar prescense upon him. He slipped the book and locket into his pocket and took the jar of preserves. He saw a bag in the middle of the road now, and as he walked closer he realized it was HIS bag. "What the hell? How'd my-" He felt a stiff wind blow through him. The words "You're welcome" flashed in the leaves. "Huh....Thanks I guess? He nervously proceeded down the kudzu-covered path towards the nearby town.

[[ooc:: AGH! I JUST MANAGED TO SNEAK YOU INTO MY POST TOO! FLUAAARGH!]]

Twin eyes of golden melt stared at the boy speaking to them. He was terrified, completely and utterly terrified at the prospect of people being around. But...he was polite, even offering a chair for Elennire. The priest was the one that got the younger priestess to actually move into the spot that was offered. The bright-haired individual obeyed without much complaint...for once. It was rare for her to actually do what was either suggested or told, but at the moment, Elennire didn't feel like trying to be the rebellious child. She was far too confused and a little tired from the lack of sleep.

"Thanks," she nodded towards the younger boy in the bar and then yawned again and then rested a little bit before the sudden sound of a bang filled the bar. Elennire groaned and lifted her arm up with a little bit of a swing. "Raeroke, fix the door you just kicked down..." she mumbled softly and then she turned her head onto its side before the next voice floated through the air. It wasn't Raeroke's. Her head shot up and then a wave of nauseating sickness flew over her as soon as she realized something was pressuring her chest. Her heart pounded quite heavily against her ribcage three times and then the man spoke further cold words before suddenly grabbing the boy and lifting him from the floor. Elennire was fast to react, jerking to her feet and immediately moving towards the injured.

Raeroke would have stayed where he was to avoid trouble, but the hand grabbing onto the front of his shirt made that all-the-more difficult. Elennire ignored any others in the bar, not very interested in the suspicious considering the way she was brought up, and then stormed up to the older man now lifting the boy off his feet. Her eyes flared dangerously.

"You're the cause of all that evil..." she muttered softly under her breath. The girl then pushed her hand out towards the man and then, the band on her wrist began to glow, and then suddenly it expanded into a floating ring around the girl's wrist. Suddenly, a small pair of white wings sprout from either side of the ring. Three light blue, almost translucent orbs escaped from the interior of the golden band, and then Elennire moved her palm up to the man's face, her eyes flashing in dark threat. Raeroke was fast to react, forcefully removing the boy from Elennire's target and then pulling the youth back away just as Elennire let loost a beam of light into the abuser's face.

Having been on the receiving end of the beam attack more than once, the man knew exactly how painful it was. The burning radiance had never been lethal, no matter how many times one was blasted with it, but it had always been ridiculously painful. The girl pulled her hand back across her chest and one of the orbs shuddered a little, but then it stabilized itself after a short moment. The fiery-haired girl then threw her hand in front of the older one's stomach and then she gave a little smile. Suddenly there was another burst of light and this time, it was more of a physical punch of light that time, and this beam was strong enough to send even Raeroke flying several feet. Yes, she'd tried before, and it was quite entertaining.

"That was quite a bit of fun," Elennire claimed while the band closed back onto her wrist. She yawned again and then turned away from the man and started walking towards the boy. So that was what had happened to him. The priestess didn't want to simply leave him where he was. "You okay? No need for medical attention? Nothing I'll have to worry about for the time being?"

PostSubject: Re: Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits   Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits EmptyWed Mar 18, 2009 8:13 am

Llyud was watching the three people having a conversation when an angry looking person barged in. He must have known the barhand because he called him "Riwu." Then the man picked up the boy. Llyud was not one of those people that would stand around watching someone get hit and he jumped out of his seat. He dashed to the back and pulled his bow out. He was about to fire an arrow so that it would only nick the man's arm. He never fired the arrow. That was because the girl with the radiant red-orange hair blasted the man with a beam of light.

"HOLY SHIT!! WHAT THE F@%$ WAS THAT!" he yelled and ducked behind a table.

That was when he noticed that half the people in the bar were staring at the girl and the other half at him hiding. No one else had hid and he felt really stupid. He stood up and put his chair back near the table then stood off to the side. He felt like an idiot.

This girl must be really important and important people need help. He was pretty sure he could get a job from them.

Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits Empty
PostSubject: Re: Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits   Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits EmptyThu Mar 19, 2009 3:14 am

Like a Star @ heaven decided to get out of the town/village area and go into the nearby forest and thought "Geez, ANOTHER forest?! This one better not have weird fish-people and dark floating things with weird helmets...and those other people...if they were even people..." Like a Star @ heaven shivered for a moment at the thought. And climbed up a nearby tree. "Back where I started before I guess..." he figured. He set up a small area to rest for a bit as he let the sands of time run.

OOC: I mean an actual mini-hourglass that he has. And who undid my edit on the screen stretch? It is a SERIOUS offense to undo a moderators edit without a valid reason (admin excluded, but even he should leave a note that he undid it)
back on the RP note, fish-people are referenced again after all, who knew such a thing would happen, dark floating thing with weird helmet, ask me inrl, or outside the forum, other people....other RP characters of Like a Star @ heaven's past (I'll make him fully ATC later, well hey, the rules stated no characters from Void, not other things :p if you guys are honestly severly pissed off with A.T.C.s existence, I CAN remove him...easily...how? think interdimension matter transporter...well, actually something not quite as even close but...the idea gets through)

Summary (for you lazy people) : he leaves to the forest, and rests on one of the trees (on a branch anyway) to wait for something to happen (read the character description...the thing is, he HAS no journey on his mind, therefore, he can honestly care less about almost anything)

PostSubject: Re: Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits   Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits EmptyThu Mar 19, 2009 4:37 am

Itou approached the small town at the end of the path and felt that cold wind again. He quickly turned around to see the kudzu path gone, revealing nothing but dense forest and underbrush.

"Jeeze that creepy...Whatever."

Itou walked further and further into town. His long walk had made him thirsty, strangely, he was evem more thristy than usual and desperately wanted a drink.
He turned to his attention to a small bar not too far from him and quickly walked to its doors. He pushed against its rough side and came across a scene of absolute silence with half the people cowering in fear.

"Woah...Did someone die or something?"

Llyud approached the girl and her handler.

"Hi there. My name is Llyud. You seem like an important person and I was wondering if you could use another person in your group to help out? I'm dead on with a bow and can hold on my own in close quarters. I recently left a clan you may have heard of, clan Sisic, and have been looking for work. So, whaddya say?" he asked hopefully.

If he couldn't get a job here, he'd have to go elsewhere. Maybe he should visit Adelle and Kaoru at their hometown...

PostSubject: Re: Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits   Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits EmptyFri Mar 20, 2009 2:51 am

tamah, a young, twelve-year-old, wandered around the village, munching on a bun bought with pocketmoney. well, someone else's pocket money, but still. she couldn't really get any pocket money if she didn't have parents, now could she?

humming, she trotted into the bazaar. looking to her right, there were a bunch of people crowded around a bar. was there some kind of fight? it didn't matter how much blood or death there was, her older sister taught her how to not be afraid. "excuse me, my papa's the owner of the place. can i get through? thanks," she said to people as she shouldered her way through the crowd.

"woah... did someone die, or something?" a young man asked. "wouldn't i like to know," tamah said. "excuse me, could someone tell me what happened?" she asked.

ooc: yes, i am now in this rp too Very Happy

Riwethuu stared in horror as Lumo's fist was about to transcend into his face. But the events that happened next were a blur. Suddenly, the girl sprang out of her chair, and then he felt something wrench him out of Lumo's grip and to the floor. In the corner of his eye, there was a blinding light, one that filled the dingy bar entirely with its radiance. A beam of light extended from the woman's hand, striking his stepfather square in the face. Riwethuu could see Lumo's expression of shock and agony as the burly man was sent flying across the room. And not too surprisingly, he reveled in it. His eyes widened in a combination of both excitement and happiness.

The blast of light was powerful indeed. Even a strong, sturdy man like Lumo was knocked flat off his feet. Despite all of his 353 pounds, Lumo caught some excellent airtime before finally crashing into the bar's floor, a mixture of urine, straw, some dried-up beer, and splinters. The man skidded across the muck before finally coming to a crashing halt at the wall, with a tremendous thump.

"Murgghhh..." Lumo groaned, putting a hand to his head. Riwethuu grinned at the man's pain, after all these years of suffering, it was definitely worth it to see some rightful retribution. The girl yawned lazily, and turned her back to the fallen Lumo and to him.

"You okay? No need for medical attention? Nothing I'll have to worry about for the time being?" The girl asked, her eyes sparkling. Riwethuu was taken aback at the sudden proposal.

"Uh-er-em-" was all he was able to splutter. Then, out of the corner of his eye, Lumo had already gotten to his feet, and seemed quite alive and well. And he wasn't happy.

"Seems like I gotta teach this wench here a lesson too..." the burly man grumbled, grabbing a chair and lifting it above his head.

Itou pushed Lluyd aside and bum-rushed the burly man holding the chair. itou took as deft, but relatively weak compared to his other moves, strike at the man's exposed stomach.

"Don't start a barfight guy, that's gonna be bad for ya"

Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits Empty
PostSubject: Re: Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits   Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits EmptySat Mar 21, 2009 2:44 am

There hadn't been much down time between her question and the few that were asked in her general direction. The angellite glanced slightly at the one that had asked her a question and the Glory then decided to answer the questions that had been asked, despite the fact that it wasn't her general duty, it was a social obligation for the most part. Elennire brushed some of her bangs away from her face while she spoke to the fellow boy. "Important? I suppose if Skallan Glories that are supposed to be getting to Prophet rank are important, then yeah...maybe..." Elennire could barely resist the urge to roll her eyes.

Raeroke on the other hand, handled the other questions that were being asked while replacing his shades back over his gold-pool eyes. "One of Sakella's chosen Glories just took care of some business, he's far from dead..." the man said while sending his gaze back to his charge. He found, with complete horror, that the girl wasn't paying attention to the man that was getting to his feet and instead staring at the boy that they had just saved from a beating. His first thought was to shoot his hand to the holster on his hip, but remembered too late that it was empty. Gone for modifications about a week before they arrived in this land that was apparently completely unloved land. 'Oh shoot...'

Elennire was staring at the boy that they had saved, but she didn't get any information from him at all. Instead, she was given stammers and "ums", which didn't particularly help her with getting the information that she wanted. It was too late that she got a chance to hear the words that the other man had to say. Upon the sound of his voice, she whipped around on her heel and felt her eyes widen just as she took in the sight of the man holding a chair above her head. Elennire was tough, true, but getting hit by a chair by someone so big? That was going to have to at least bruise, if it didn't fracture her bones. Elennire instinctively tensed her legs up, but she already knew that there was an extremely small chance that she would escape a dead-on blow. She barely had the time to brace herself before someone knocked the man out of the way. Suddenly, a flash of silver shot through her field of vision, followed by a sickening crunch and a terrifying scream of agony. Elennire's eyes shot at the source and saw, without surprise, that Raeroke was standing with his arms poised as though he'd just thrown something.

"R-Rokey, don't tell me you just..." she stammered slightly. The girl turned her head to the left, and she saw, with a slight shudder, that there was indeed a large crescent blade lodged into the wall, a trail of blood following it in a horrible pattern. The girl barely got herself to look back at the man that was about to smash her head in with a chair. The sight was a little disturbing. A shiver crawled down her spine. "You really didn't need to do that..."

"Sorry Ellie, but Sakella's teachings say that lunar retribution is required on anyone that tries to harm our Skallan Glory, and...well, you know..." he said while walking slowly over towards his priestess and then he touched her shoulder lightly and then walked to the silver crescent blade before picking it up. After his touch, it shrank down back into a choker and the man reattached it back around his neck and scratched the back of his head. "Looks like someone did die here. My bad. Oh, and by the way, thanks for helping her out there," and here the man nodded to the boy that had shoved the older man out of the way.

Llyud was shoved out of the way by some random guy who then proceeded to shove the man holding a chair above his head. He was about to fire an arrow at the guy but was shoved out of the way and his arrow ended up hitting the ceiling as he hit the floor. He had a small cut on his arm from falling and he watched as the wound slowed down and stopped bleeding. Noone else in his family healed very fast. The cut would heal by the end of the day if not sooner. It took an average person two weeks for a small nick to completely heal.

He put his chair back up and sat down again. He put his head back and closed his eyes. He was tired. He was hungry. And he was almost out of money. He put his head on the table and sat there.

He was tempted to say "Wake me up when we actually do something." but then he realized he was no longer with his clan.

tamah looked over at a young man who seemed pretty hungry. she could easily pick his pockets dry, but they looked pretty dry already. tamah then proceeded to carefully step along the wall to the bar, and then ducked under the counter looking for the kitchen. she found it soon enough, and stole a couple drumsticks while no one looked. ducking under the counter again, and weaving her way in and out of the crowds, she found the boy again and put a drumstick in front of him. "hey, mister. hurry up and eat before they notice the food's gone, or else they'll make you pay for it," she said, biting into her own drumstick. "there's no point in stealing something if you end up paying for it," she said, quoting her dead older sister.

Llyud saw a little girl staring at him in his peripheral vision but just ignored her. The girl walked away and ducked behind a counter. Llyud pulled out an ancient gold coin and twirled it around his fingers. He had found it when he was a little kid and had stumbled into a cave. It was probably worth a fortune but he decided to never sell it when he first found it.

The girl came back from under the counter and gave him a drum stick.

"thanks," he said before putting his coin away. "my name is llyud. What's yours?"

"hmm? oh, i'm tamah," she replied between bites. "so, what are you doing here? i'm just walking around, and i came to this town," she said. "but i've been here a lot longer then you have, that's for sure. at least two months, i think," she said, her train of thought switching tracks. "sorry, i'm rambling," she quickly added when she realized this.

Riwethuu was trembling in the corner, in awe at what had just been done. Indeed, he hated his stepfather very much, but he never wanted him dead. His widened eyes stared at the blood-splattered, motionless body lying in the corner of the room. He didn't want anyone to die. Nobody deserved death. The raid at Lactum had bored that lesson deep into his mind. Riwethuu turned his head away from the corpse. What surprised him most were the fleeting tears that began to well up in his ghostly white eyes. Riwethuu quickly blinked them away, ashamed. He knew he shouldn't feel sorrow for such a heartless person...

But now there was no one holding him. Nothing holding back. He was free. There would be no one to clothe him, feed him, or care for him. The mere thought of the idea sent a tiny shiver down Riwethuu's spine. Well, the best thing he could do would be to care for the customers until everyone was gone. At least Riwethuu could cook a little. Wiping away the remainder of his tears with a soot-covered hand, Riwethuu crawled out of his little corner and slowly approached the foreigners. One man was hungrily gnawing away at a drumstick, which Riwethuu wondered where he had gotten it from. He knew hadn't served it himself. The man couldn't possibly have stolen it himself, either: he would be feasting wherever he got it. Riwethuu knew only too well how hunger consumed the mind, especially after being starved for a week. Then he noticed the girl next to the man, also with a drumstick. She didn't appear to be eating, but Riwethuu also knew that he had never taken either of their orders. They were thieves.

"U-u-um, excuse me?" Riwethuu piqued, briskly walking over to the two. "I-I'm sorry, I'm going to have to ask you to p-pay for that."

tamah widened her eyes. "i already paid though," she said innocently. "i paid for both of us. i left the money on the counter," she said as she finished her drumstick.

edit: "here, i have something expensive you can sell if what i left wasn't enough," she added, pulling out a small foriegn gold necklace. it was a thin chain, and there was only one small semi-precious stone on it, but the chain looked like a thread instead of a chian. she took out the stone, and handed it to him. "i'm sure this will be more then enough, right?" she asked, smiling an innocent little girl smile. let's hope that'll fool him she thought to herself.

ooc: short post is short Sad will add onto later...
edit: added on, but not much. sorry, can't think of what to write... ^^'

[[ooc:: Wootwoot! An opportunity to show off some of the Skallan teachings! -cheers-]]

Elennire was the first person to deal with the dead body. She knelt beside the body, found that the man was lost, and she gave a little sigh. She hated being a Glory. It meant a lot more trouble whenever someone happened to die, but at the very least it wasn't a huge slaughter. That would have meant a retarded little burial. The redhead moved from her spot and was quick to retrieve the thick leather-bound book with silver-leafed pages. It was marked with silver ink on the cover, a crescent with a four-pointed star held in it. The girl moved to the dead man and then began the process of sending the soul to be judged by Sakella, lest the evilness be rebirthed into a foul creature.

"Canqiuenne Sectora, Warlenna serphammin," the girl started reciting from the book, quickly and accurately pronouncing everything on the page before turning it. It was a standard procedure, call forth the spiritual familiars of a man and then have the creatures lead the ones waiting to be judged to Sakella's court. She turned the page again. "D'arcen le duexiemn cantanxia..."

Raeroke had been walking towards the counter when he happened to overhear the words of the boy and the ones that he was questioning for money. Now, Raeroke was well-known among the council of the Skallans for a variety of reasons. Exceptional senses and insight happened to be one of those reasons. The golden-eyed man blinked and then dropped a handful of silver and gold coins onto the table before the boy. "This should be enough to cover them, right?" As unfriendly as Raeroke seemed, the blue-haired priest followed the teachings of Sakella down to the bone. Just as he was about to do something, there was a rather hard jerk on his shoulder and a rather large amount of shaking. He gave a start and then turned to witness the odd sight of a certain someone having a nice, old fashioned freak out.

"Raerokethetomeisn'tworkingandIcan'tsummonanythingtotakehimtoSakella," the girl started. Without so much as taking a moment for breathing she pretty much shouted the second sentence. "AndIcan'tgetincontactwithJeananymore!" Raeroke raised an eyebrow at his priestess and then put his finger onto the girl's mouth so she would stop talking and calm down.

"Calm down and breathe," the man said. His eyes turned towards the boy and he worried for a moment. That boy couldn't stay in the place he was at the moment, it was certainly not the best choice. The man turned to Elennire with semi-pleading eyes. "Hey, can we take 'im along with us for a while?" Elennire looked at her companion and then sighed with her hand on her face.

"You and your stupid religious face...how can I say no to that?" she questioned while placing her hands on her hips. The angellite nodded towards the boy that she had saved from a beating at the hands of the dead man. "Hey, you. You mind comin' with me 'n Raeroke to find some way to get back? Or maybe to the Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirit or whatever it's called. That sounds important enough to be of use..."

PostSubject: Re: Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits   Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits EmptySun Mar 29, 2009 12:55 am

OOC: screw this, no more Like a Star @ heaven so for my own convinience I'm just going to call him ATC full time, rather than wait till later

ATC suddenly awoke from nap after hearing a loud-crashing sort of noise, whatever it was, it didn't hit the tree he was sleeping in, but it seemed close, or at least very loud. "ugh" he grunted while standing up. "I should go check out whatever the heck that was" he thought. He gathered up his things (not that there was much to gather) and climbed down the tree. Suddenly, he realized "crap, where's my bag?!" He franctically climbed up the tree and found it was not there either. "NOO! My valuables! the orcarina! (actually I could do without that), my wallet! (not that it held this area's currency, whatever that would be), the MP3 player! (wait, that was out of battery), to bo..." He then realized nothing in this bag would actually be important in his situation anytime soon. "Well, I have my sword right here and some food in my pockets, I should be alright then"

He head off to the area the noise came from, it led him to a town, past some building (although he did notice there seemed to be some sort of commotion going on in the bar) "eh, let some other people take care of, not my problem, besides, I'm just passing through" he thought aloud, silently he figured "there my be a few theives around here, I better watch my back" He picked up two conviently spiky rocks and placed them in both of his pockets, "if this can't take out the best pickpocket out there, I don't know what will" and continued on his way.

OOC: no wai, I'm actually doing something, and yes I read the past posts

Summary: ATC awakes from a loud-crashing sort of noise, gets out of tree, finds out his bag of useless crap has been stolen, heads toward the where the noise came from, notices commotion in the bar, decides to forget the bar, sets a pickpocket trap in his pockets, and keeps going

As he gave the the girl named Tamah a nasty glare, held out a brilliant, green stone out in her palm. For a moment, Riwethuu was dazzled by the sparkle in the stone, for he had never seen something like that in his life before. He slowly took his hand and held the stone, examining it closer. Despite the grubbiness of the bar, the green stone still seemed to shine ever so brightly, as if it gave out a light of its own. Riwethuu's ghostly-white eyes stared into the depths of the brilliant green stone for a while longer, before the familiar clang of money caught his ears. Riwethuu's eyes darted to the table, where a mass of golden and silver coins lay, then to the golden-eyed man, who had started to make his retreat. Riwethuu quickly stuffed the green stone into his tattered shirt pocket and started after the man.

"E-excuse me? Sir?" Riwethuu mumbled, hoping to get the man's attention. Sometimes, he really wished he wasn't so timid.

"Hey, you." the man said, somewhat suddenly. Riwethuu jumped back a little in surprise. "You mind comin' with me 'n Raeroke to find some way to get back? Or maybe to the Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirit or whatever it's called. That sounds important enough to be of use..."

Riwethuu was taken aback. This was his chance to get out of here. To finally do something with his life. He couldn't miss out now...

"S-sure..!" Riwethuu piped, looking up towards the man, who towered over him like Norima. Then Riwethuu looked back at the blood-caked corpse of his stepfather, Lumo.

"But... s-should we do something about the body first?"

Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits Empty
PostSubject: Re: Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits   Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits EmptyWed Apr 01, 2009 4:52 am

Raeroke was glad to hear that the boy had accepted the offer that he and Elennire had made. The young angellite placed her hands on her hips and then gave a little grin before the boy brought up the unfortunate topic of the body. She grimaced. That was the last thing she wanted to think about, but the stench of decay was already reaching her nose, and it was a little disgusting. Raeroke shot a glance back at her, and Elennire gave a sigh. She knew that look. It happened every damn time there were too many bodies to have the tome work them all at once. She shook her bright-haired head and then waved her hand at the man.

”Right, right. I’ll get right onto transfer to a time-lagged plane and a delayed entrance to the court,” she said while rolling her eyes and knelt beside the body. She was good at this, better than she was at sending one person at a time. The only problem was how much energy it took to transfer such a small area. It was easier to transfer half a plane to a different one, but compressing the burst of energy all the way down to the area of one body. Her eyes turned a pale shade of grayish-green as she began to mutter something under her breath very, very quickly. Speed-casting. ”Tiemme planatia, tonkieme nagtora refellis trans derretis pourct temme…”

Raeroke kept his eyes on the body and waited for the all-familiar royal-blue glow, the signature color of Elennire’s angel. True, it was completely different from her own color, but Jean seemed to hold a very, very different view of things than Elennire herself. Suddenly, the blue appeared and Raeroke immediately moved back a few steps. A small implosion of life blinded him despite his shades, and then the body was gone. The priest immediately moved towards Elennire and supported her gently. The girl looked at her companion with a look of weary exhaustion.

”I hate doing that…” she mumbled before closing her eyes. She was a little pale, but Raeroke knew it was fatigue. Compressing such a small area took a lot of effort, so it was understandable as to why the Glory was so exhausted. The girl fell asleep and Raeroke let her be. Anywhere from half and hour onwards would be enough to let her rejuvenate the lost strength. The blue-haired man leaned the girl up against a wall and then turned towards the boy that had accepted the invitation to his and Elennire’s journal.

”Hey, kid…” he started while putting his hands into his pockets. The golden-eyes of the man glanced over towards the side. He raised an eyebrow and then the priest added onto his statement. ”You know how to fight, or should I give you a crash course while Ellie sleeps?” he questioned while resisting the urge to dig into his pockets to search for a cigarette. Elennire hated when he smoked, and her hating him meant a much, much harder time guarding her.

Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits Empty
PostSubject: Re: Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits   Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits EmptyWed Apr 01, 2009 9:52 pm

the wide eyed boy took the pretty much worthless stone bribe. clearly, he had not been out of the town at any one point of his life. tamah turned her attention to her companion llyud. "did you know back where i came from you use that kind of stone to weigh the scales? it's so plenitful. i'm not too sure about here, though," her voice trailed off when she heard something about a sanctuary of the eternal spirit.

her ears perked up. the sanctuary was where all the dead went, her mother had once told her. it was like another name for the underwold. and a place where mother, father, and kiki could be a voice told her. she quickly turned to llyud again. "hey, do you want to come to the sanctuary with me?" she asked. tamah didn't know wether the people who talked about it would like her being there, but she was sure that she could be of use to them somehow. she was small, quick for a human, and could steal things in the blink of an eye. tamah was sure that she could help, somehow.

either way, her newfound purpose in life was to get to the sanctuary, so she could finally meet her dead family again. an easier way would've probably been to kill herself, but she didn't want to. if she could bring them back herself, then they could be together, once more, running from the government again. those moments were the happiest moments of her life with her family. most likely because they were the only moments of her life with her family.

Llyud had finished his chicken and had his head down on the table. He was listening in on the conversation although it didn’t seem like it. He had great ears and was able to listen in on conversation easily.

Tamah asked him if he wanted to go to the sanctuary of the eternal spirit. “Sure. I don’t have anything else to do here but what’s so special about that place. Is it important?” He had no idea what it was since he had just come into town with his clan before he got booted out.

"really? you don't know?" she asked in a suprised, but not degrading manner. well, he was a foriegner, so she guessed she could let it off the hook. but still. "it's where the dead go. where their souls go," she said feverishly, a crazed look in her eyes. "if i can find them again," her fast talking turned into a low mumbling as she spoke to herself. "oh gods if i could find them again..." she whispered. she felt her voice threaten to crack, her eyes threatining to cry, and she said no more. oh gods she thought to herself.

"WOW! That's some powerful stuff!" Itou slammed down the jug. "Gimme another! and this time put some stank on it!" He swayed a little. He overheard a conversation nearby about some sort of spirit fountain, or sanctuary. "Eh?! You guys goin' somewhere?! Whatever it is, I can help ya!" He swaggered over to their table with a pitcher of strong ale. "I need something to burn time! Kikuri don't get outta the academy for a couple weeks!" He leaned lazily on his elbow. "So what do ya say?"

As the man spoke, little flecks of spit and beer splattered his face. "U-um, sure...!" Riwethuu stuttered, taken aback by the sudden outburst by the scary man at the table.

To tell the truth, Riwethuu had no idea what the "Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirit" did. In fact, he didn't even know what it even was. He slowly walked toward the very tall man named Raeroke, and tugged at his sleeve.

"Excuse me, sir?" Riwethuu mumbled. "D-do you know exactly where we're going, or w-what's going to happen?"

Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits Empty
PostSubject: Re: Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits   Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits EmptyWed Apr 08, 2009 4:11 am

The stench of alcohol was overpowering as some hulking guy with beer slammed a jug down and then started walking towards Raeroke and the boy. The man winced and wanted to wrinkle his nose in distaste, but did nothing of the sort. Why did everyone he met have to have a problem? His mind ran back to the orphanage he'd picked Elennire up at and the man could barely repress the urge to shudder. Never again. EVER. The drunken one made an offer to come along and Raeroke wondered if it would be uncharitable to deny someone access to a party. Before he could come to a conclusion, the boy made an answer first.

"U-Um...sure!"

'Oh Sakella's blessings...' the man thought while raising an eyebrow and giving an unseen quizzical look at the drunk one. Well, he couldn't be completely useless. At least...he could be cannon fodder if the worst came and he was a useless pervery. The priest gave a little restrained cough as the rank stench of alcohol basically gave him an uppercut. Suddenly, the little dingy bar was all the less pleasant. Suddenly, there was a little tug on Raeroke's sleeve, and the blue-haired man glanced down to see the boy with questioning eyes.

"Excuse me, sir? D-do you know exactly where we're going, or w-what's going to happen?"

"Uh...about that..." Raeroke gave a little awkward pause. He couldn't really say that he did know what was going on or where they were going. "I can't say that I know anything about this 'Sanctuary'. We just heard rumors of it from some guy when we were making our way over here." Yeah, actually, the only thing that was semi-certain was the end result. They either found a way back to their own world, or they didn't. Raeroke hadn't really thought too far ahead as far as planning went, now that he thought on it. The man tried his best to be friendly, which was a little bit pathetic. "But hey! What have we got to lose? I mean, there's not much for you here. Now, let's go outside and spar a bit, shall we?"

Yes, he was a failure at socializing. That much should have been obvious simply from looking at the way he dressed. Attractive, true, but not exactly...inconspicuous. Anywhere. The man gave the boy a little hearty pat on the back, completely forgetting that he had poor strength control and that Elennire was only able to stand to the occassional playful pats or punches because she had dealt with worse before. He threw the pat a little too hard. Not enough to be seen as aggressive or meant to harm, but enough to send most kids the boy's size stumbling over if not completely tumbling.

Tamah had told Llyud what the sanctuary of the eternal spirit was but then se looked as if she was about to cry.

"Hey Tamah... Did you lose someone..."

Llyud ended with that and hoped that if she did cry, it wouldn't make a scene because when a little kid is talking to an adult, then the kid cries, adult gets in trouble. The LAST thing Llyud needed right now was even more trouble. He had barely any money left an was out of a job. Add that to the fact that he was in a place that he didn't even remember how he had gotten there.

Basically, if Tamah accidently made a scene, he was screwed.

Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits Empty
PostSubject: Re: Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits   Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirits EmptyThu Apr 09, 2009 7:18 pm

ATC was nearly out of town when he heard a group, it seemed like random people sitting on the side telling story after story about stuff they claimed to know about. The one that intrigued him most was when they said something about a Sanctuary of something something Spirit, he decided to listen to their after story conversation...

"So it was located where?" asked a listener,
"I dunno" the storyteller said,
"What did it do or what was it exactly?" another one asked,
"Again, I don't really know"
"Oh come on, you just told an entire story about it, do you know anything about it?"
"Uhh...just that it might exist (geez I really shouldn't BS my stories this much, for all I know I might've said it was where dead people go or something...the name sounds like that much)"

From there ATC stopped listening, "well, that was rather screwed up...but, it sounded like some sort of obscure quest I should try going for since I'm so bored...beats wandering around and trying to erase those horrid images" he thought.

suddenly an old image popped up in ATC's head, the fire, the girl, the village dying, and the person who started the hellish fire...

ATC knocked on his head, "Come one! Snap out of it! That was two sub-plots ago!" Then there was awkward moment as he realized the storytellers to the side were all looking at him for talking loudly to himself. He simply went back on his way and out of the village

(OOC: lol, sub-plots, and what ATC said is true, that image is ENTIRELY unimportant to his character, and this story, also note he does not yet know it is called the Sanctuary of the Eternal Spirit, just Sanctuary of something something Spirit)

(OOC: Itou has a slightly smaller build than Mako because of his age, just barely a medium build)
"Whatever... However, I would like to be 'compensated' for my services if you know what I mean!" He made the universal sign for 'money' in front of the other's faces.
