The Lore of Isiya Empty
PostSubject: The Lore of Isiya   The Lore of Isiya EmptyMon Feb 09, 2009 3:19 am

THE DEITIES:
The Deities of Isiya are ten powerful beings that watch over in the land of Isiya. They are heavily worshiped and praised all throughout Isiya, as their presence is very real. All of them are immortal: nothing can ever truly kill them, but the physical forms they take can be destroyed. Each of them is assigned an individual element which they can manipulate at will. With them, they carry immense power which they use to guard the land of Isiya as they see fit.

Insinuah, Almighty Deity, Deity of Creation
An Almighty Deity, Insinuah watches over all the other Deities as the others watch upon Isiya. He is the oldest of all Deities, and the wisest of them all: he has existed since the beginning of time itself... since he created time. He created the universe and all matter as we know it. Additionally, he created the other Deities to help him guard the newly created world. In a way, he is a Deity of life: he has the power to make whatever he wants to cease to exist. His nature is benevolent, as never in his entire entire existence has he ever committed a deed of evil. He is beyond immortal, as he takes no physical form, and never, ever truly be killed.

Harenuah, Almighty Deity, Deity of Evil
Herenuah, another Almighty Deity, was born after the creation of the universe, created from of the void of nonexistence contrasted by the universe itself. He resents the creation of existence, and thus hates Insinuah with to the bottom of his soul. Harenuah possesses incredible, awesome power that can destroy the entire universe, but Insinuah is the only thing stopping him from eradicating existence. The two are completely even in strength. Harenuah possesses no physical form, and therefore cannot walk among mortal beings. He, too, is beyond immortal and cannot be killed. Soon after the creation of time, Harenuah and Insinuah broke into conflict that threatened to destroy existence. Eventually, Harenuah was defeated, and banished to the void. Legends and prophecies tell, however, that Harenuah will fulfill his revenge somehow...

Mokukinawan, The Deity of Earth
Mokukinawan is the Deity with control over the earth, renown for his laziness. He doesn't particularly do much, except eat, sleep, and watch the mortals do their thing. His form is that of a giant tortoise. Second oldest Deity, Mokukinwan was first asked by Insinuah to guard over the first sprouts of any life on Isiya. Insinuah initially, only wanted one form of life on Isiya, but due to Mokukinawan's laziness, the sprouts of life became intertwined and tangled, resulting in humans, sheep, and all other forms of life that inhabits Isiya. Insinuah, while first annoyed, found the outcome to be highly amusing, and then told Mokukinwan to simply watch over Isiya, in any way he wanted.

Baihukourei, The Deity of Thunder
Baihukourei is one of the older Deities, who takes the form of a tiger. Short-tempered, wise and imposing, Baihukourei is respected and even feared by some of the other Deities. Early since his creation, Baihukourei's physical form was accidentally slain by a human with a magical blade. Enraged, Baihukourei cursed the bloodline, trapping himself in the family. He manifests in the family's offspring, which he chooses. While he has intimate control over electricity, his powers are ultimately limited by the human whom he possesses. Those possessed gain immense strength and ability. Baihukourei stays trapped within the Koukami bloodline until it is finally ended.

Yagatsaru, The Deity of Fire
Yagatsaru is a Deity with extensive control over the element of fire. When he was first created, he was under Insinuah's influence and control. Like his creator, Yagatsaru initially was a kind, compassionate Deity, that took the form of a flaming humanoid. In fact, he was the one who gifted humans with the gift of fire. Soon, however, things went sour. Yagatsaru had come into contact with Harenuah one fateful day, and was utterly brainwashed. After their encounter, Yagatsaru went insane with greed and power, laying waste to the land and life of Isiya. Before he was able to completely destroy Isiya, one man managed to seal the enraged Deity into a magical sword called the Dominion Blade. Now, Yagatsaru hopes to find a human of weak will to wield the blade, so that he may release himself to once again rain destruction upon Isiya.

Mizusuineei, The Deity of Water
Mizusuineei is a calm Deity with control over the element of water. She takes the form of a dolphin. The utter paragon of serenity, Mizusuineei is upholder of peace. However, she can be as inconstant as the sea itself, incredibly ruthless one moment and compassionate the next. Her brutal side, though, only manifests whenever it is for a just cause. Being the Deity of Water, Mizusuineei monitors the water levels all through Isiya. Droughts and floods do not occur pointlessly or without cause: it is Mizusuineei's doing. In addition, she acts as a motherly figure and inseparable companion towards Hikarimagi, as they are the only two female Deities.

Ankokuren, The Deity of Darkness
The youngest of all the Deities, Ankokuren was born when Insinuah was suffering from a migraine. Insinuah was so distracted and in agony during his bouts of pain, that he accidentally used his powers to create an entirely new entity, Ankokuren. Due to his relative youth, Ankokuren is the most rash and least experienced of all the Deities. Ankokuren enjoys fighting with all the other Deities, much to the annoyance of his creator, who always struggles to keep him in line. Due to his inexperience, Ankokuren has no control over the form of his reincarnation: many times he has been forced to live the existence of single-celled bacterium or animals such as squirrels. As such, he has no set physical form. He has limited control of darkness, and can project it wherever he wishes. In a final effort to discipline Ankokuren, Insinuah stated that every ten million years, Ankokuren will reincarnate as a human, which Ankokuren heavily despises. Ankokuren also has a habit of changing his name to whatever form he assumes, such as Ankokuryu, when his form is that of a dragon. While he is the Deity of Darkness, he is not necessarily evil.

Hikarimagi, The Deity of Light
Hikarimagi is last Deity created by Insinuah right before the completion of existence. Initially, her purpose was to keep Insinuah company while he made the finishing touches to the universe. Hikarimagi is a very young Deity, second only to Ankokuryu, and such she is also very inexperienced and has limited control over her abilities. Due to this, she is prone to outbursts of energy and loss of control. Her power is control over illumination and willpower, and she takes the form of a young, human girl. She utterly despises violence and bloodshed, and has prevented as many human wars as possible. However, she is very frail, even for a Deity, as she is not fully immortal, so she can be killed if assaulted correctly. Therefore, she is usually timid even around humans or demons, who have no hope of killing her. She treats Mizusuineei as her mother. Recently, she has been given orders to find Ankokuren, and stop him from causing any trouble.

MISCELLANEOUS:

Aki Narido: Demon
Aki is an ancient demon that possessed a little girl many generations ago, and used her body to wreak havoc across the land. Aki was able to cause much destruction before being exorcised at the hands of a small group near the town of Gaaolus.

THE VODALKA

Four, legendary machines of myth said to possess all characteristics of humans. The product of dark magic, these four automatons exist only to wreak destruction, havoc, and chaos among the land of Isiya. The Vodalka can imitate all actions of a human: they can eat, breathe, sleep, and even think for themselves. Their strength greatly exceeds that of any normal human's, with resilience and toughness beyond inhuman levels. The black magic animating their cold, heartless steel is impossible to purge. So far, there is no way to permanently destroy them...

Res:
The last, and youngest of the Vodalka. His predominant color is white, and he is one of the best killers among the Vodalka. Blinding speed is but one of the strengths he possess. Res is also gifted by having one of the quickest minds among his Vodalka brethren, a godsend when in a fast-paced encounter. So far, he has been enlisted by the Caylia Legion as one of their best killers.

Sil:
The third eldest Vodalka. Her predominant color is purple. While she does not possess the outright killing capacity of Res, she more than makes up for it in charisma and deceit. Siil was gifted with one of the most beautiful bodies among Isiya, which allows her to charm countless individuals. She possesses a silky smooth voice that can seduce even the most stalwart of men. Only once she has suitably subdued her target does she ruthlessly annihilate them. So far, she has been enlisted in the Caylia Legion as a highly ranked mercenary. Where Res might slit you in the throat, Sil will just stab you right in the back.

Sin:
The eldest among the Vodalka. Little is known about him.

Jus:
The second oldest Vodalka. She is shrouded in mystery.
